Bruges: with 49 chocolate boutiques, a chocolate museum, a chocolate trail and a chocolate fair, Bruges can lay claim to being the global capital of the cocoa bean. Go on a praline or truffle workshop for two hours.
Paris: if you're feeling serious, the Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse offers an induction into all things chocolate at his cokkery school; four hours of Tout Chocolate and you'll discover the secret recipes for saffron and chocolate floating island and chocolate vanilla marble cake.
Perugia: A hotel dedicated to the sweet stuff is the Etruscan Chocohotel, which has a Choco Menu.
